Streamline Your Grooming Routine With Laser Hair Removal

Many women simply do not have the time to devote to certain grooming habits, such as hair removal. This simple task alone, depending upon the method of removal, can take anywhere between 15 minutes to 2 hours. Many are seeking a permanent hair removal solution that will save them time and bolster their confidence. With a permanent solution, a woman will never miss another engagement due to embarrassing or unwanted hair.

Body hair, including facial and bikini areas, are often embarrassing subjects for women. Studies have shown that women will often skip trips to the beach or pool because of time constraints associated with hair removal. Additionally, they will decline intimate encounters, if there isn't sufficient time to remove the unwanted hair prior to the engagement.

Laser hair removal provides a permanent solution to hair removal. Typically, women have turned to shaving, waxing, plucking, depilatory creams, and other temporary solutions to meet their hair removal needs. Until recently, electrolysis was the only option that best approximated permanent removal. However, it is a painful process that focuses on one hair follicle at a time. The process required several visits before it was effective.

Laser hair removal is preferred because it does not damage the pores of the skin, and it is less painful than its predecessor. The laser emits a beam of light through the skin. The light beam transfers into heat energy once it reaches the follicle. This process renders the hair follicle incapable of producing hair. Afterward, a cooling device is employed to further protect the skin.

Although several treatments may be required, the number of treatments is typically less than its predecessor. Each patient should receive consultation prior to the procedure to determine the best strategy for ceasing hair growth. To achieve the best results, the physician recommends that the patient wait until the hair is actively growing.

Prior to attending a session, the patient should not engage in any hair removal procedures, aside from shaving, for three to six weeks before the procedure. Additionally, the patient should also not engage in any sort of tanning, including spray tans and tanning booths, four to six weeks prior to the procedure. If the patient has any form of the Herpes Simplex Virus, a prophylatic antiviral therapy will be prescribed to prevent aggravation or outbreak as a result of the procedure.

The risks associated with the procedure are minimal. Redness and swelling are the most common side affects associated with the procedure. While some have experienced hyperpigmentation, blistering and other undesirable side effects, the effects are typically not permanent.

The procedure is cosmetic and is typically not covered by insurance companies. However, the cost of the procedure can be fairly economical. Some laser hair treatments begin at $59 dollars and vary depending upon the size of the region and the treating physician. Nick Messe is the president of Lead Frog LLC.
